Jake Paul is no longer taking any nonsense from critics who claim his boxing career is nothing more than a sham.
After years of enduring accusations that his fights are rigged, the YouTube content creator-turned-boxer has made it clear he’s done staying silent.
The 26-year-old has vowed to take legal action against anyone who continues to spread what he calls “lies” about his boxing victories, warning them that he’s coming for them with his legal team in tow.
Since stepping into the ring, Paul has been a controversial figure in the sport, with many questioning the legitimacy of his wins.
Critics have repeatedly called his bouts with former MMA stars like Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren “staged”, while others have speculated that his fights with bigger names such as Tommy Fury and even Mike Tyson were all scripted.
Despite his critics, Paul has kept pushing forward, claiming that his rise in boxing is the real deal. But after his latest win, he’s had enough of the scepticism.
The controversy reignited following Paul’s June 28 win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., a former WBC middleweight champion.
Although Paul won the fight by unanimous decision, social media users quickly began claiming that the fight was rigged.
The accusations stemmed from Chavez Jr.’s relatively slow start to the fight, with many noting that he didn’t start showing any real aggression until the final three rounds.
Unsurprisingly, Paul wasn’t having any of it.
In a furious post on X (formerly Twitter), Jake fired back, saying: “After years of letting it slide as just ‘haters being haters’, I have asked my team to vigorously go after anyone who makes up lies about my boxing career. Expect to get served, you pigs.”
The message was a clear warning to his detractors, and it didn’t stop there. Paul also reshared a post from Nakisa Bidarian, the CEO of his promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, who blasted “baseless and irresponsible” claims made by TV personality Piers Morgan about the legitimacy of Paul’s fights.
Bidarian added: “Enough is enough. We will be exploring all options, including legal action, to hold accountable those spreading such deliberate and harmful lies”, reinforcing Paul’s message that they were no longer willing to let the accusations slide.
Paul’s victory over Chavez Jr. could also lead to him being ranked in the WBC Cruiserweight division, a key step in making his highly anticipated fight with Badou Jack a reality. But with his latest legal threat, it’s clear that Jake Paul is now out to protect his name at all costs.

Youtuber Jake Paul wins Netflix boxing match against Mike Tyson in shocking victory
Jake Paul walked away victorious
Jake Paul has defeated Mike Tyson after the pair faced off in an eight-round boxing match in Texas.
It all came down to unanimous decision, and all three judges scored the fight for Paul, 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73.
Tyson, who faced some health issues prior to the fight, started strong – but as time went on, Paul quickly began to dominate the boxing veteran.
The 27-year-old landed 78 punches from 278 thrown (28 percent), while Tyson landed just 18 punches from 97 thrown, according to Netflix.

The highly anticipated fight took place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and was live streamed around the world on Netflix for those tuning in from home.
The former undisputed heavyweight champion and YouTuber finally got to the ring after the fight was originally set to take place in July, but was rescheduled due to Tyson’s health issues.
Eager to see it all go down, with millions watching the boxing match live on Netflix.
However, many viewers complained of streaming issues throughout, receiving some error messages as the stream has not started for them yet.
Prior to the pair sparing off, there were some controversial rule changes laid down by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Both participants had to wear 14-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce gloves worn in a heavyweight fight – It’s said that the heavier the glove is, the more padding and shock absorption they have.
Alongside this, the match was also eight rounds instead of the usual 12, and they were also reduced to just two minutes over the typical three-minute rounds you’d expect in a professional fight.
There will be three judges standing ringside and scoring in case there isn’t a knockout, while headguards are also banned.
It’s safe to say that fans were divided by these changes – Whilst many began to question the validity of the match, others remained concerned for Tyson.
After all, it had been 19 years since he ‘retired’ in 2005.

In the run up, Tyson also faced some serious health problems, which he spoke about in their Netflix documentary.
The boxer revealed that he was ‘throwing up blood’ and feared he was ‘going to die’.
‘They found I had a big ulcer, two-and-a-half inches, and it was bleeding. All my friends were calling me like I was dying.”

Millions of us tuned in to watch Jake Paul take on Mike Tyson.
With the November 15 bout grabbing headlines for weeks in the run-up, it’s no surprise that Netflix struggled to keep things running smoothly.
It’s been nearly 20 years since Iron Mike officially retired from boxing, and although he’s since had a couple of exhibition fights and famously took on Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, there have been complaints that the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world isn’t what he used to be.
With everything from accusations that the rules were changed to make it ‘easier’ on Tyson to the idea the whole thing might’ve been rigged in Jake Paul’s favor, the boxing match continues to drum up controversy.

Jake Paul has been on the warpath since he claimed a victory based on a judge’s decision, starting a pretty public feud with Tommy Fury, announcing his retirement from influencer boxing, and throwing out challenges all over the place.
While Paul has had plenty of challenges also sent his way, it looks like he’ll be back in the ring before too long.
Tyson has reiterated that he’s still retired, although a cryptic mention of ‘the sky is the limit’ suggests he’s got big plans for what comes next.
Speaking to 7 News Miami, Tyson has explained how his fight with Jake Paul went by in a flash: “Magically. It just happened so quick. 8 round were over fast. I wasn’t tired. I wasn’t sweating. I didn’t understand that.”
Saying it was over in the blink of an eye, Tyson puts to bed the idea that he was struggling against Jake Paul.
The YouTuber has faced plenty of flak for taking on Tyson, with his harshest critics telling him to fight someone his own age.
Some who watched the fight said it was ‘sad’ to see Tyson in the ring, with others saying he looked like a shadow of his former self.
Still, there are plenty fighting in Tyson’s corner.
Speaking to 7 News Miami at the pop-up event, one fan said: “It’s Mike. I am here to see Mike. Mike’s the goat…I grew up watching him and he’s an inspiration to everybody. I mean he’s a champion. He’s one of the greatest ever.”

Another added, “I think if he let go, I think it would’ve been a much quicker fight. I think he could’ve knocked him out in the first or second round to be honest.”
As for Tyson being ‘tired’, his words seemingly contradict what his son told Seconds Out. Amir Tyson suggested: “He just got tired. Jake would move out the way. It looked like he pulled his punches back but Jake’s moving. It’s not like the pads, he’s moving.”
Saying that his dad’s gas tank was ‘shot’ by the third round, Amir concluded: “He did his best. No holding back, he did the best he could at his age.”
It’s important to remember that while Tyson has clearly put in the work when it comes to training, he’s been out of the professional game for a long time. Put it this way, we wouldn’t fancy taking a punch from him.
