Tragedy strikes again for Harry Redknapp and wife Sandra: After rushing to hospital to be by his wife’s bedside, Harry is hit with shocking news back home — but keeps it from Sandra to protect her health

Masked robbers smashed their way into Harry Redknapp’s £5 million Dorset mansion and stole wife Sandra’s treasured jewellery — all while she was in hospital recovering from illness.

The former football manager had attended a function that Friday night, unaware that their empty home was being targeted by a well-organised gang. But the most heartbreaking detail? Harry reportedly kept the terrifying burglary from Sandra so she could focus on getting better.

A close family friend revealed: “Harry didn’t want to worry her. She’s been unwell, and he felt the best thing to do was to let her rest and not say a word — at least until she was stronger.”

The gang used sledgehammers and lump hammers to break through the front door of the couple’s luxurious Sandbanks property. CCTV footage captured the masked intruders rifling through rooms, taking off with valuables — including Sandra’s cherished jewellery collection.

“It was clearly premeditated,” said a source. “They knew the house would be empty.”

The home is currently on the market, and investigators are probing whether the burglars used the Rightmove property listing to study the home’s layout and time the break-in perfectly. Just two months earlier, a similar attempt occurred at a neighbouring celebrity home also listed online.

Harry and Sandra, both 78, were not present when the burglary took place. The retired football legend — who rose to national fame after winning I’m a  Celebrity in 2018 — had been looking forward to a quiet new chapter by the sea. The couple are awaiting the completion of a new villa nearby.

Despite the trauma, Harry has remained calm and tight-lipped. A spokesperson said: “There was no one in the house at the time, and Harry doesn’t want to make a fuss. We won’t comment on what was taken. It’s a matter for the police.”

Dorset Police confirmed they are investigating the incident but no arrests have been made.
