Gen Hossein Salami, the head of the Revolutionary Guard, was confirmed dead, as was the chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces, Gen. Mohammad Bagheri. Israel’s Minister of Defence, Israel Katz, declared a special state of emergency throughout the entirety of the country in the wake of the IDF strike. “Following the State of Israel‘s preemptive strike against Iran, a missile and drone attack against the State of Israel and its civilian population is expected in the immediate future”, Katz said.
