25-year-old conjoined twins Carmen Andrade and Lupita Andrade left their fans somewhat shocked and happy at the same time, after they revealed a major ‘life upgrade’ that happened last year. Taking to social media, Carmen revealed that she got married to her long-term boyfriend Daniel McCormack in October 2024. As per Today, the two tied the holy knot in the presence of their families. As per the Daily Mail, the duo was dating for four years, after meeting online on the dating app Hinge. Reportedly, the two exchanged the rings in Connecticut- on Lover’s Leap Bridge in New Milford.
For those not aware, the sisters are quite a sensation on social media. The two have a major following on their YouTube and TikTok handles. The announcement- as you guessed it- came on social media as well. The new bride announced her ‘autumn wedding’ at the end of one of her videos. The video with the title ‘Overdue Update’, began with Carmen ‘addressing’ something ‘pretty big’. “We should probably also address something else pretty big,” Carmen had said in the end. “I did get married,” the bride continued, followed by showing her ring.
The video was then joined by the groom- Daniel- who then chimed in on the announcement, “I got an upgrade. I’m the husband now.” The 25-year-old bride and the 28-year-old groom allegedly kept their wedding very intimate, with only ‘local’ family members attending the event. “I don’t like those weddings where they invite like the third cousin twice removed,” Daniel was heard saying in the video.
Coming to the wedding, the bride seemed happy with her ‘autumn wedding’, as she called it ‘pretty’, “It was very pretty. It was in autumn, which made it even prettier.” The bride also decided to ditch the traditional white wedding dress and went with an ‘emerald gown’ instead. The twins looked beautiful as they posed with Daniel donning a black tuxedo. “I did not wear white. Don’t regret it. I don’t like white. Not my thing,” Carmen clarified.
Reportedly, the couple are also in the race to be voted as ‘America’s Favorite Couple’, where they are currently on the 9th position, as per Daily Mail.
Lupita- the other twin, on the other hand, is reportedly asexual. “I don’t want to get married… because I don’t want to,” she had said.
The twins have lived most of their lives in Connecticut, however, they were born in Mexico. They are joined from the chest until their pelvis. With each twin controlling one leg, the two took their time in learning their coordination.
